Cleanliness left a bit to be desired. dust and cobwebs lingered in corners, suggesting a deeper cleaning could bolster the charm of the cottages. Water issues were bothersome—some days, hot water was just a rumor. other times, there was no water at all. Navigating steep pathways to breakfast might become tiresome for those not keen on elevation, and the lack of options for casual dining on site felt limiting given the remote location.

The Fond Doux experience was enjoyable, with beautiful tropical surroundings and friendly staff. However, the treehouse accommodations can bring unwelcome insects indoors. The plantation is stunning, with nice tours available, while the outdoor shower is a unique perk. Overall, it’s a charming getaway for nature lovers.
